Hello friends and strangers,

I’m an award-winning essayist from New Orleans living in Tuscaloosa — LSU (grad) vs. Bama (prof). I write hilariously tragic (tragically hilarious?) stuff about my family, my city, and myself. My debut essay collection, Nola Face: A Latina’s Life in the Big Easy, is available through the Crux Series in Literary Nonfiction at the University of Georgia Press.

Check out my essay on Sinead O’Connor’s “Three Babies” in the anthology Nothing Compares to You: What Sinead O’Connor Means to Us. Published with Simon & Schuster and available wherever books are sold.
